Summer Chinese Course

About the Program

This program is designed for the beginner adults who are interested in learning Chinese Language and deepening their knowledge of Chinese culture and lasts four weeks form August 4, 2008 to August 29, 2008. It is composed of classroom teaching, off campus language practice and Chinese cultural excursion.     

Arrangement

1st week：

4th_ 8th Monday  08：30-11：30 Orientation

 Tuesday-Friday 08：30-11：30 Oral Chinese

2nd week：

11th_15th Monday-Friday 08：30-11：30 Oral Chinese

 Wednesday 14：00-18：00 Language Practice：Visit to  Shaanxi Historical Museum

3rd week：

18th_22nd Monday-Friday 08：30-11：30 Oral Chinese

 Saturday 08：30—17：30 Language Practice：Visit to Terra-Cotta Warriors  & Huaqing Hot Spring

4th week：

25th_28th Monday-Friday 08：30-11：30 Oral Chinese

Wednesday 14：00-18：00 Language Practice：Visit to Famen Temple

　　　　　　　　　　　Language Practice：Visiting the local resorts, such as Shaanxi Historical Museum, Terra-Cotta Warriors, Huaqing Hot Spring etc. The university will cover the expenses for language practice. 

Travel Around

According to the students’ requirement, on the weekends the university will organize excursion to scenic spots in Shaanxi Province, such as the Wild Goose pagoda, Qianling Mausoleum, Dangjia village, etc. Students will cover the expenses by themselves.

Certificate

Certificate for short-term Chinese course will be issued by Northwest A&F University.

Application Procedure  

Fill in the Application Form for International Student which can be downloaded from Office for International Education’s website (http://oie.nwsuaf.edu.cn/downcen.php). Send the application form with your Financing statement and photocopy of your passport to Office for International Education at shixiangyu@nwsuaf.edu.cn or fax it at 0086-29-87080181.

Visa Application

When the office receives the application, the admission notice from the university and the official Visa Application for Study in China (JW202) will be issued for you obtaining visa to China. Please apply your visa with it at the nearest Chinese Embassy or Consulate to your country.

Fees

Registration Fee: 400Yuan RMB

Tuition Fee: 1,600 Yuan RMB

Accommodation Fee: 1200 Yuan RMB for a one person /room /month, 1600 Yuan for a two person /room /month (All rooms are equipped with TV, telephone, air conditioner, Internet access, furniture).

You are required to pay these fees when you arrive at the university before the commencement of the program.
